POLLINATORS

Wisdom traces the path
A measure of transformation

Did You Know That?

Increasingly more common people are looking to access and share knowledge on how to inhabit land (to learn how to grow food, to construct, to create communities and experiencing new way of relating). The access to localized and grassroots knowledge, along with the opportunity to engage with a community to exchange knowledge, co-create and boost personal inspiration, is widely regarded as one of the most crucial strategies for enabling large-scale ecosystem regeneration to happen at scale.

What’s Pollinator?

Map it, transform it, sustain it

Pollinators is a multifaceted initiative that encompasses an open-source platform and an offline “game of life” with the goal of establishing a global physical corridor. This corridor will serve as a connector between talented individuals and regenerative farms, as well as ecosystem restoration projects across the world.

The platform includes two main types of participants

Inhabitants: individuals who own or operate regenerative farms or projects.
Pollinators: individuals who engage with or visit these projects to gain experience and share their own talents and knowledge.
Through a gamified offline process, Inhabitants and Pollinators are rewarded as they acquire, share and apply knowledge based on their personal goals, while they collectively contribute to trace and spread the physical living corridor. The platform emphasizes the growth of wisdom within the community, recognising the grow in skills of every participant and the ecosystem as a whole. It also serves as a medium for facilitating co-creation, driving innovation, and enhancing resilience abilities

What Does Pollinator
Offer?

A successful agro-ecological farm is a complex system that has emerged through the combined work of humans and nature along an extended period of time. We could say that those places are high in bio-cultural information. The information is store in biological/living capital (plants, seeds, etc.) and in cultural capital (people, wisdoms, tacit knowledge, etc.).
Pollinator is an open-source platform that has the following micro-objectives:
  1.  Make bio-cultural information or wisdoms visible and accessible
  2. Foster the movement of wisdoms and people between farms of the corridor
  3. Foster the co-creation of new wisdoms
  4. Create a physical corridor
  5. Facilitate different strategies for the creation of new communities of support around farms
  6. Support people in the transition to inhabit lands

How Does It Work?

Pollinators has 3 main components

1. Pollinator video platform

It’s a video platform divided in key topics about inhabiting lands. Permaculture, ecosystem restoration, organic fertilisation, water management, bio-construction, regenerative design, seeds, farm to table, community governance, are amongst the many topic areas.
Any participants can:
  • – Make a video about their specific knowledge/ approaches/innovations/technique
  • – Give credit to specific knowledge that work on the context of their bioregion and support community learning through collective intelligence.
  • – A map shows where the knowledge is produced and where other members are located.
  • – Inhabitants are able to create private networks and communities of support around their farm using this tool.
  • – Users are able to propose courses (in site or online), manuals and templates of specific knowledge and gather people interested to attend the course

2. Pollinator Life Exchange

The life exchange is a platform feature that enables pollinators to share their unique talents and labor with inhabitant projects or farms, whether for a short or extended stay. In return, they receive valuable rewards such as knowledge acquisition, recognition of their skills on the platform, hospitality, and other benefits.

3. Pando Corridor Game

The Pando game, inspired by the world’s largest known organism, is a gamified process and journey that combines offline actions with online interactions.
In this game, participants map lands and wisdoms in the real world, take part in regenerative missions and challenges, and progress through various stages and levels on their journey. They actively work towards achieving personal objectives while collectively striving to reach the game’s ultimate goal: creating a phisical corridor that crosses the planet
